南山区地处亚热带，濒临南海，属亚热带海洋性季风气候，四季温暖湿润，主要山峰有羊台山、塘朗山、大南山等。南山区是深圳的科研、教育、体育中心，是深圳大学、南方科技大学、深圳大学城、深圳市高新技术产业园、深圳湾体育中心所在地。
南山区旅游资源丰富，有深圳华侨城、深圳野生动物园、南头古城等主题公园和著名景点。
Overview of Nanshan District
Nanshan District, an administrative district of Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province, is located in the central-western part of Shenzhen. The terrain is long from north to south and narrow from east to west. The land area of the district is 185.3 square kilometers. As of the end of 2023, its permanent resident population was 1.8363 million.
Nanshan District is located in the subtropics, bordering the South China Sea, and has a subtropical marine monsoon climate with warm and humid seasons. Yangtai Mountain, Tanglang Mountain, and Da'nanshan Mountain are the main mountains in the district. Nanshan District is Shenzhen's center for scientific research, education, and sports. It is also the location of Shenzhen University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen University Town, Shenzhen High-tech Industrial Park, and Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.
Nanshan District has abundant tourism resources, including themed parks and famous attractions such as Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town, Shenzhen Safari Park, and Nantou City.
